What is Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy?

Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy focuses on assessing, treating, and rehabilitating pain, injuries, and conditions affecting the joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and bones.

It’s the foundation of what many think of as “traditional” physiotherapy, addressing issues throughout the entire body—from the head and neck to the feet and ankles and everything in between. Whether you’re dealing with back pain, a work-related injury, whiplash, stress related aches and pains, a sports  injury, persistent pain, or recovering from surgery, MSK physiotherapy is designed to help restore movement, reduce pain, and improve function.

Thank you for your summary, most helpful for my continued strength building for the glutes/hip. Since seeing you my hip pain has reduced considerably.

HEAR FROM MY CUSTOMERS

Emma was absolutely amazing; she’s extremely knowledgeable about biomechanics and the musculoskeletal system. There are no areas where Emma is deficient. She’s by far the best physio I’ve ever had. Her treatment is greatly appreciated.

What to Wear for Your Physiotherapy Appointment

We recommend you wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment.

  • For lower back or lower limb issues, we recommend bringing shorts if possible.

  • For upper back, neck, or upper limb issues, you may find it more comfortable to wear a vest.

The goal is to ensure you feel at ease during your assessment and treatment.
